In this chapter they will learn how the prophets continued to call the people back to worshiping the one true God.
Answers:
1. Isaiah—God would bring new life out of death and destruction and that a remnant of the people would form God's faithful community.
2. Jeremiah—called the people to be faithful to God and the covenant. 3. Habakkuk—God told him that Babylon was an instrument for purifying Judah of its sins. Those who were faithful to him and just to their neighbors would continue to remain in his love.
4. Micah—told people to show their faithfulness by living just and holy lives, and that God would restore his people through a new David.
5. Zephaniah—condemned the worship of false gods and urged the people to return to the faith of Moses. He said that God, in his great love, would allow a faithful remnant to at last enjoy the peace, prosperity, and justice that the covenant promised.
